"British refugee advocates on Monday criticized a pilot project that threatens to place the children of failed asylum seekers into foster care, a move that comes amid Britain's new crackdown on unwelcome foreigners.
The test project allows the government to withdraw housing and financial support from all failed asylum seekers - including families - after giving them two weeks to appeal. Children, whom local governments are obliged to care for, could be taken away and placed into state care. "
