"According to a recent AFX News report, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is considering blocking mobile phone signals in portions of the country, to stop their use to trigger bombs. In addition, the government now requires purchasers of prepaid mobile services to register. More than 30 bombs have exploded in the Southern Malay Peninsula portion of the country between July and August, said the report, and 860 people have been killed in nearly two years of attacks in the provinces bordering Malaysia."
