"THE world's first centre dedicated to combating the exploitation of children by paedophiles on the internet has been announced. The unit will provide a single point of contact for young people and adults to report online abuse.
Up to 100 staff will work in tandem with law enforcement agencies across the world. Investigations will also be carried out with a view to seizing the assets of criminals who operate pay-per-view sites. New Home Office guidance to protect children using chatrooms and search engines was also published to coincide with an EU conference in Belfast. The new London centre will work with experts from as far afield as the US, Canada and Australia when it opens in April. "
