"CRIME may not pay - but the costs of keeping it under control in London are about to soar. Mayor Ken Livingstone announced his plans for the future of policing in the capital.
And he was joined on the visit by two of the highest profile policemen in the world - Met Commissioner Sir Ian Blair and Los Angeles Police Department chief Bill Bratton. By the end of April next year every ward in London will have a Safer Neighbourhoods community team of one sergeant, two PCs and three police community support officers."
