"Al-Qaeda is using the well-publicised issue of a '20th hijacker' who may have taken part in the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US as part of its propaganda war. While the 9/11 Commission has identified eight other individuals as possible hijackers, the media has focused on recently convicted Zacarias Moussaoui, the only man charged in the US in connection to the attacks. It now appears that the Moroccan, while connected to the plotters, may have played only a peripheral role. The uncertain legal status of suspected terrorists captured by the US since the attacks will allow Al-Qaeda to claim that the US has failed to bring the perpetrators to justice." [Sub Required]
