Two Northern Ireland men start a sponsored cycle today to support a charity which was founded because of the US Watergate scandal. US lawyer Chuck Colson was jailed in 1974 for his involvement in Watergate. During his jail-term he became a committed Christian and founded the non-denominational international charity Prison Fellowship, which aims to help prisoners and their families salvage their lives and move on. [..] "I believe the work we are doing in supporting prisoners and their families is a positive contribution to our society and worthwhile." In England, the Home Office has found similar projects have a success rate high above any Government agency in helping ex-prisoners turn their lives around and that is what inspires my commitment."
