"Accusations that the police are engaged in a witch hunt against the Muslim community were branded "absolute madness" today. Labour MP Shahid Malik (Dewsbury) said suggestions that the police have been deliberately targeting Muslims since the July 7 bombings were "dangerous stuff" and encouraged a siege mentality in the community. Mr Malik was speaking following the publication of British Anti-Terrorism: A Modern Day Witch Hunt, by the Islamic Human Rights Commission."
