HEATHER GACH
"Dr. David E. Olson, professor and chairman of the criminal justice department at Loyola University Chicago has tracked the effectiveness of Sheridan's prison-based treatment and said that recidivism needs to be looked at in two ways -- are inmates rearrested or are they returned to prison for violating parole or committing a new crime? When researching similar programs nationwide, Olson said Sheridan is different than many others because it is entirely dedicated to providing treatment to all inmates rather than just a section or wing of a facility and because so many outside organizations are involved in the rehabilitation process."
