"You're at a party shooting pictures of your drunken antics with your camera phone. In a moment of inebriated rashness, you send the snapshots to your boss with an insulting text message. If only the phone could sense your state and prevent such folly. A phone maker sniffed this disastrous scenario and invented such a device. The LP4100 phone from LG Electronics known as the sobriety phone has a sensor that detects booze on its user's breath.
If the blood alcohol level is above the legal limit, the phone's screen shows a car swerving into traffic cones a graphic reminder to refrain from the wheel. As an added feature, the phone blocks certain predetermined numbers to prevent reckless drunk dialing."
