"British Hindus do not want to be referred to simply as Asians,. The first independent report on the identity and public engagement of Hindus in Britain found that 80% would prefer be called Indian or Hindu. The report carried out by the Runnymede Trust and funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government found that some members of the community often feel left out of discussions on race.
