"A Canadian company that produces an easy-to-use liquid explosive is defending itself against reports suggesting the product could become a tool for terrorists intent on bringing down passenger jets. British police investigating the alleged airline bomb plot that was revealed last week have reportedly raised alarms about FIXOR, a powerful explosive made by mixing a powder and a liquid and sold by Kingston, Ont.-based MREL Group of Companies. Until now, the blasting agent has been hailed for its humanitarian application in ridding the world’s war-torn regions of unwanted landmines."
