"The disrupted plot to blow up airplanes between London and the United States highlights the urgent need for high-tech systems that can detect liquid and other forms of explosives, aviation security experts said. Technologies have advanced, several said, to where such systems could be put in place at airports. However, they are costly and an inconvenience to passengers.
