"National ICT Australia (NICTA) scientists are developing advanced surveillance technologies including software algorithms to track "inappropriate behaviour" in public places. The project -which aims to prevent, detect and predict acts of terrorism - is partly funded by a $634,000 grant from the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet."[Counter-terrorism; Technology]
