"COMPUTER-game contests between cops and teenagers have helped slash youth crime on an estate. Officers launched the scheme in Edinburgh's Moredun area in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour. Bored kids were challenged to take on the police youth action team in a weekly PlayStation 2 contest at their local library. And about 30 teenagers aged13 and 14 battled it out on racing game Gran Turismo 3, Tiger Woods Golf and Pro-Evolution Soccer. The five-week tournament has been praised for slashing youth-related crimes by half-and the winners picked up new games."
