"Police hand out anti-theft devices in Bedford town centre. Town centre police in Bedford are hoping to knock seven bells out of the threat from pickpockets with these anti-theft alarms.The policing team is handing out free bells from now until the end of the year, which can be attached to purses or wallets.It is hoped the jingling tell-tales will both put off "dippers" and remind shoppers to keep their valuables secure."
