"Major IT systems disputes are on the increase, but with the right tools, a full analysis of what went wrong between the IT supplier and the customer can help in resolving such issues, says Experienced observers and practitioners in procurement, contracting, management and delivery of major IT systems agree that the quality and certainty of these processes do not appear to be improving. Major IT project disasters continue to occur, particularly it seems, in the public sector, and those projects that do not end in total disaster still fail to live up to corporate investment expectations.
