A Review of child maltreatment trends and policies across six countries/states (England, USA, Sweden, New Zealand, Western Australia [Australia], and Manitoba [Canada]) shows that there is no clear evidence of a decrease in child maltreatment across these nations, despite decades of polices designed to achieve such a reduction.
