"Pakistani officials insisted Monday that DNA evidence and communications intercepts prove that a top al-Qaida operative died in an explosion at his tribal hide-out last week, brushing off Washington's reluctance to confirm the man was killed. Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said DNA tests and 'other information' confirmed Hamza Rabia's death. Three intelligence officials said the other information included communications intercepts."
