"THOUSANDS of police staff and senior officers fear they could lose their jobs or be forced to work away from their families following force mergers. Up to 2,000 police staff could lose their jobs, a number of ACPO level officers are due to be pensioned off, according to staff associations and trades union Unison. The Superintendents' Association also said its members are worried they will be asked to work far from home and may have to become 'weekend mums or dads'." [Sub Required]
