A Christmas alcohol blitz is set to tackle drink-fuelled disorder and underage drinking, Home Office Minister Hazel Blears confirmed today.
The crackdown in town centres across the country in December and January is the second phase of an ACPO and Home Office co-ordinated campaign to cut alcohol related violence. It will build on the good practice developed and lessons learned from this Summer�s alcohol blitz.
The next phase of the campaign will run from 15 December 2004 to 1 January 2005. Every police force in England and Wales is being invited to take part."
