"Happy slapping" -- a British-born fad in which violence is filmed and passed phone-to-phone or on the Internet -- has started to alarm authorities throughout Europe.The phenomenon -- whose name belies the seriousness of the attacks -- mostly involves youths and victims who are often strangers.Police in France have counted about 20 cases of filmed violence or sex attacks -- but admit there could be countless others."
