"POST office staff will replace police as part of a radical plan by Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan to overhaul law enforcement.Mr O'Callaghan said he would make big changes to ``supercharge'' his front-line first policy, moving more cops from behind desks and on to the beat. His plan includes police shedding responsibility for a wide range of services, handing some of them to Australia Post and other agencies. He said police had been forced to take on so many different roles that some officers had become like clerks, bankers and secretaries. "
