"HOAXERS who call police to report imaginary crimes are being investigated and charged with wasting officers' time. I n the last two months, a fourman team in the Kentish Town- based robbery squad has been following up reports of crimes that never happened. They have unearthed more than 40 incidents when members of the public faked robberies because they were either trying to make a dodgy insurance claim or were embarrassed about losing items."
