The long arm of the law has been told to reach out and grab friends to join the force. In the latest drive to expand police by 1000 officers, staff nationwide are being asked to lure their mates into a life of crime-fighting. In the police magazine Ten One, human resources general manager Wayne Annan suggests officers can play a crucial role in fattening the thin blue line. "There is no doubt that our staff are the biggest single recruiting resource.
