The study's claimed central finding is deportees returned to Jamaica from the United States, Great Britain and Canada are significantly responsible for Jamaica's horrendous violent crime problem. Whatever other bits of useful information may have emerged from the study (and there are some), establishing criminal causality was clearly its raison d'etre."
